Analysis: Analytics technologies for reducing spoilage in US retail stores

Challenge

An asset management firm wanted to understand the US market for analytics technologies that manage and reduce food waste in grocery and retail stores.

The project had four different workstreams, with different team members managing each. The client wanted to speak with grocery chain executives, investors, and consultants exposed to these technologies. In addition, they needed to:

  • Have easy oversight of the project's progress

  • Share insights across workstreams

  • Manage user rights and access.

Solution

The Inex One proprietary algorithm matched the requirements with four specialized expert networks:

  1. Noble Insights - A generalist with expertise in North America

  2. Nodes - A global generalist with an extensive network

  3. Focal Fact - A global player with a niche in the tech

  4. Ridgetop Research - A generalist with expertise in North America.

Multiple client team members collaborated on the Inex One platform to review and interview experts. The “Teams” feature on the platform allowed the admin to set access rights for each team member. The Project Analytics dashboard provided a real-time update on the project progress while the teams shared notes, transcripts, and messages on the platform.

Outcome

Inex One helped facilitate the required calls complying with all the client’s requirements to provide them with the needed insights. The client booked 30 calls on the platform within ten days, out of 132 submitted profiles. The client gave the calls an average rating of 4.4 out of 5. The Inex One features enabled seamless communication and removed information silos.
