The history of Dialectica
Although the founders have a background at Alphasights, buyside firms and Goldman Sachs, Dialectica is particularly strong with consulting firms. It mainly serves clients in Europe from its office in Athens, although it also has a material US business served from Montreal and Bogotà.
Aside from standard phone consultations with experts, Dialectica also offers to engage its advisors for longer-term assignments and can produce written deliverables such as surveys and reports upon request.
Dialectica closest competitors in the European consulting segment include Guidepoint, Prosapient, Focal Fact, and Atheneum.
In 2023, Dialectica had a changing of the guard among senior leaders including the CFO, Product VP, and the respective Heads of all regions (EMEA, APAC, North America, and LatAm). Nevertheless, Dialectica has continued to grow.

Both firms have grown rapidly in their first year in business, in partnership with Inex One. This is attractive to clients, as they offer a high-quality service at more attractive economics. This is nothing new. Dialectica took Alphasight's high-end service model (high-quality HR practices in hiring, training and retention of staff) out of high-cost London to lower-cost Athens. They could higher top-talent at a fraction of the cost of London, and apply more resources to every project. This was a successful model. But Athens is now getting crowded with large offices from competitors such as Guidepoint and GLG. The competition further intensified in Q4 2023, as Guidepoint terminated its 60+ employee Düsseldorf office, moving all European operations to Athens.
Infoquest and Reticula are applying a similar business model, but operating their high-end service model from even lower-cost locations in Türkiye and Lebanon.
In 2024, a former Dialectica manager started the Al Khabeer expert network in Lebanon.
Dialectica milestones
2015 - Dialectica started in Athens, with a small sales office in London.
2018 - Clients gave Dialectica the highest rating in our expert network benchmarking.
2019 - Inex One identified the firm as a Regional Challenger in our market sizing. As a regional challenger, Dialectica stands apart from other smaller expert networks by merit of its growth.
2020 - Opened an office in Montreal to serve the Americas, having served global markets entirely from Athens until then.
2021 - The company opened a sales office in New York, and a recruitment office in Vancouver.
2021 - Dialectica was recognized as the fastest-growing expert network in Europe.
2023 - Inex One reaffirmed Dialectica's status as a Regional Challenger in the annual expert network market sizing.
2024 - Inex One upgraded Dialectica to a Global Leader in the annual expert network market sizing. This reflects Dialectica's strong growth and increased penetration of large accounts.
2025 - Dialectica hired the former Chief Compliance Officer at Tegus to lead its legal and regulatory program. This comes at a time when Dialectica has invested heavily in content and products targeting large investment managers.
