GlobalWonks is an expert network based in Washington, D.C. GlobalWonks was founded in 2017 and operates a “DIY Marketplace” focused on foreign affairs and political risk experts.
GlobalWonks offers four services:
- Expert calls
- In-person meetings
- Custom reports
- "Network Pulse". which is ad-hoc questions to their network
The Network Pulse allows clients to ask ad-hoc questions, similar to the service offered by Wonder.
In 2020, GlobalWonks took a $2m investment from Tokyo-based Uzabase Inc. Uzabase already owns Mimir, a Japan-focused expert network. Following the acquisition, both expert networks should be integrated into Uzabase's business intelligence platform SPEEDA.
This is the second partnership emerging between US and Japan based expert networks in 2020. In July, Mimir's Japanese competitor VisasQ invested an undisclosed amount into DeepBench, a Boston-based network .
