Xperiti

The Xperiti expert network was started in 2017 and went live in 2018. The company has offices in Israel, New York, and a team of research analysts in the Philippines.

In February 2023, the company was acquired by Ipsos, a global market research firm. While Ipsos has traditionally focused on B2C research, the acquisition followed a push into B2B. The acquisition came soon after Ipsos hired a long-time Dynata executive as COO.

Xperiti operates a standard expert network, mainly serving hedge funds. After the Ipsos acquisition, they launched a B2B respondent verification tool, sounding similar to those built by NewtonX, Potloc and Walr.

Xperiti raised funds three times prior to being sold:

  • 2019 June - raised $500k from IBI Tech Fund and 97212VC.

  • 2019 Nov - raised $1.2m from New York angels and others.

  • 2022 Jan - raised <$300k from VersatileVC.

  • 2023 Feb - Xperiti was acquired by Ipsos. In hindsight, the acquisition seems to have been mostly cosmetical, as part of the Ipsos inorganic growth agenda. Xperiti was and remains a tiny operation.

After the acquisition, Ipsos folks had to get the basics right at Xperiti, like delivering emails.
