Business Connect China (BCC)

Business Connect China (BCC) is an expert network based in Shanghai, China. The company launched in 2008. The founder is a former investment professional at Bessemer Venture Partners, who at the time had invested in GLG. The company raised early funding from Peter Thiel's Founders Fund. BCC focuses on recruiting experts in China for domestic and international clients.

In 2010, BCC arranged a partnership with Maven Research. The ambition was for Maven’s primarily US-based clients to access BCC’s expert network.

In 2011, the expert network JC Moritz was founded by former BCC employees.

In 2011, BCC acquired Circle of Experts from Evalueserve and independent firm Tribeca Insights.

In 2016, BCC acquired Jingwei Mingpian, a Chinese business card scanning app. This grew their database.

When it started, the company's Chinese operations were named Business Connect China, with non-China operations called Advantus Global. Advantus was later rebranded as AGI (Astute Global Infoservice) and eventually the entire company rebranded as Business Connect China / BCC Global.
