Enquire is an expert network based in Washington, D.C. Enquire was founded as GlobalWonks in 2017 and operates a “DIY Marketplace” focused on foreign affairs and political risk experts.

Enquire offers three service areas:

  • “Network Pulse” - a real-time Q&A tool allowing clients to ask research questions and receive short, tailored insights in minutes from subject-matter experts around the world.

  • Pulse Calls (similar to expert network calls)

  • Pulse Projects

The Network Pulse allows clients to ask ad-hoc questions, similar to the service offered by Wonder.

Enquire funding rounds:

  • In August 2020, Enquire (then "GlobalWonks") raised a $2m seed round investment led by Tokyo-based Uzabase Inc. Uzabase already owns Mimir, a Japan-focused expert network. Following the acquisition, Enquire's database of 14,000 experts was integrated through an API solution into Uzabase's business intelligence platform SPEEDA. This is the second partnership emerging between US and Japan based expert networks in 2020. In July, Mimir's Japanese competitor VisasQ invested an undisclosed amount into DeepBench, a Boston-based network .

  • In December 2021, Enquire raised $5.5m Series A led by Uzabase and Teneo Ventures. At the time, the expert database was said to have grown to 40,000 experts, and revenues by 3x over the past year.

  • In December 2022, Enquire raised an undisclosed amount from freelance marketplace and recruitment firm MBO Partners.
