Enquire AI funding rounds

  • In August 2020, Enquire AI (then "GlobalWonks") raised a $2m seed round investment led by Tokyo-based Uzabase Inc. Uzabase already owns Mimir, a Japan-focused expert network. Following the acquisition, Enquire AI's database of 14,000 experts was integrated through an API solution into Uzabase's business intelligence platform SPEEDA. This is the second partnership emerging between US and Japan-based expert networks in 2020. In July, Mimir's Japanese competitor VisasQ invested an undisclosed amount into DeepBench, a Boston-based network.

  • In December 2021, Enquire AI raised $5.5m Series A led by Uzabase and Teneo Ventures. At the time, the expert database was said to have grown to 40,000 experts, and revenues by 3x over the past year.

  • In December 2022, Enquire AI raised an undisclosed amount from freelance marketplace and recruitment firm MBO Partners.

  • In June 2025, Enquire AI raised $3m in a bridge round, following a management buyout from Uzabase. The investors were angels, many with a background in investment banks' research departments. The company reported revenues of $1.4 million in 2023 and $1.7 million in 2024.
