Coleman Research
Coleman Research was founded in 2003 in New York. Its founder had a background at Multex, a financial information service launched during the 1999 dot-com wave - a background shared with the founder of Ridgetop Research.
In 2017, a former Coleman employee co-founded the proSapient expert network.
Coleman operated a standard expert network model and focused on buy-side and strategy consulting firms, alongside a distinctive Hosted Events product - 35+ weekly webinars and roundtables featuring senior experts, hosted by Coleman's own analysts.

Coleman built and evolved a licensable technology platform for other firms over several years:
November 2018 - Coleman Research announced that they would launch a platform for aggregating analyst access and expert network services.
June 2019 - The company published a post on privacy legislation (e.g., GDPR), acknowledging challenges around privacy legislation that Inex One had also discussed in a series of posts around the same time.
July 2019 - Coleman’s long-standing CTO left the firm. A new Chairman joined to drive tech strategy.
October 2019 - The company rebranded its Expert Management System as an Expert Relationship Management (ERM) platform. The platform is aimed at companies operating their own expert network.
After the 2021 VisasQ acquisition, Coleman faced a strategic dilemma between investing in its profitable expert network services, and developing a tech platform. After the VisasQ acquisition, they discontinued the ERM business. Inex One now offers a comparable EMS (Expert Management System) for firms looking for a similar white-label solution.
