Askvisory
Askvisory was an expert network founded in 2009 in London, UK, launched publicly in 2011 as one of the world's first "Expert on Demand" marketplaces - a DIY model where experts and clients connected directly, rather than through a managed recruitment process.
About Askvisory
Askvisory launched publicly in March 2011 as a self-described “Expert on Demand marketplace“, what we at Inex One call a DIY marketplace, where experts and clients connect and transact directly, rather than through a managed recruitment process.
It had operated on an invite-only basis for a couple of years before that public launch. The company was founded in 2009 and raised a $250,000 seed round that same year.
After a period of inactivity, Askvisory.com rebooted in 2017 under new leadership with prior experience at Guidepoint, BCC Global, and Vista Research. By November 2019, the company again appeared to be without an active leadership team.
FAQ
Is Askvisory still active? No. Askvisory is widely classified as "deadpooled" by industry trackers, with only a couple of employees remaining and no confirmed active leadership team since at least 2019.
What did Askvisory specialize in? Askvisory specialized in a self-service, DIY-expert marketplace, letting clients and experts connect and transact directly through the platform, rather than through custom recruitment.
